Sealing the outer perimeter of the the air box lid does not address the problem, which some people have had, of air leaking over the top edge of the filter inside the air box.

Of course, fuel flows from the right side, but less than 1/2 the fuel is passed through the extra filter. Still not sure of the benefit of passing part of each tank full through an extra filter...

My opinion is that my 1190R does much better off road than my 990 did. The stock 1190R suspension is better than my modded 990 suspension and the 1190 has an off road ABS mode that works rather well.

There are 3 rubber tubes hanging down the left side of the front cylinder. The one with the bolt in it is the air box drain. Might be good to remove the bolt now and again to drain the water out.
