I just took the piston into work and put it on our bridgeport. I just eyeballed where the reliefs needed to go and cut them out to the same depth

It's not perfect but it should do the trick.

I can check the TDC against the mark on the flywheel, but it wouldn't tell me if the mark on the cam was off or...
