Leave the bike to a friend in California (which is way to close), leave it in NY to another friend (good for distance from where I am and I get cheapest flight ticket...

Considering that bike hasn't returned to italy for 8 years I won't have troubles in the EU, while, as you say, canada don't give me any exportation...
