I have 2 mapsets loaded on the GPS (DEM and streetmaps) - but I've disabled the streetmaps on the unit.

I use the DEM maps on Basecamp to plot the route.

So, the mapsets are the same.

I use the DEM maps to plot the route.

Surely the GPS shouldn't try recalculate the route...

I started using Basecamp instead of Roadtrip for 2 reasons:
It uses DEM maps.
And it's much smoother and faster than Roadtrip.

However, it's rubbish.
On two trips now it's completely screwed up...

The thing that bugs me about Basecamp is when looking at a route's data, specifically the directions tab.

It does not give to total distance at the bottom like roadtrip does (it's a separate tab)...

The problem with the Jetboil system/plunger is that you then need anther mug to pour your coffee into - you can't drink it straight...

Basecamp is much smoother and faster than Roadtrip (even thought it used Digital Elevation Maps).

It's a much better app than Roadtrip (but you need the right maps for it)
