I used the disc type adaptor with the holes around the outside. $10 or so. No issues. "Clock" it whatever direction ya want. That said, I like the type that just extends the stock manifold an inch...

I run a 17/40 sprocket ratio, 300x17 rear tire, Walbro PZ26 Chinese carb with the needle raised 1 notch, and "some kind of pitbike exhaust" with a slight bit of added baffeling....
