The ring end gap needs to be checked with an OEM piston and rings let alone a big bore upgrade.
If you are unsure about this procedure you should pay a pro to do it.

The Gold Valve only works on the compression dampening on the DR650 forks. If you want to change the rebound dampening you have to change fork oil weight or drill out and/or weld closed the rebound...
