I always remove the gearbox with the swing arm...
I always remove the gearbox with the swing arm and final drive still attached - if the gearbox is seized on the locating dowels just lift the final drive and down very hard with some force as far...

Yes it's a CO pot. twiddle the screw and see if the idle alters. You'll need to turn it 3-4 turns before you hear the idle alter.
Don't be surprised if the screw is seized. :D CO reading...

Just unscrew the small electrical unit from servo (4 screws) and leave it plugged into the loom. Remove the rest of servo and dispose of :D
