Yeah, the material I've handled was optimized in a way that had it contain as little material as possible (mostly "Aero", with almost no "gel").

Another friction solution
I had the same complaint on my Throttlemeister, so I added a strip of that high-friction tape material used to add traction on the edges of stair steps. Solved the problem.

Convert the low beam to HID
It'll make as much or more difference than adding fog lights.
I'm also saying you should do both. I have HID low beam, FF200 fogs and FF50 driving lights on my 1150 and it's a great setup....
