I'd use a kitchen oven with a thermometer. Adjust till around 200 deg.F, than move the pistons in till they fully warm up.

A 4 cyl has 2 pistons going up and 2 coming down so minimal pulsation in the crankcase.
The opposed twin has 2 pistons coming...
