KTM did not do this, you did by turning a race bike into a pack mule. I have a 2011, its wicked relative to the 2013 on models, so KTM has in fact done quite a bit to solve the handling.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I have an ICO, just looking for an affordable back-up. I hoped that a wireless version would work, as this will mitigate the risk of the wires being damaged.

They rub through on mine. Not only my 690, also the SX-F. But it appears that they have identical guards. Maybe there is a fork guard with more clearance.
