The main thing that keeps me from buying another Strom is the low available power for auxiliaries: heated gear, aux lights, and electronics. In all the upgrades and paint jobs, a few hundred more...

Just avoid anything cotton. When it gets wet (rain, snow, sweat) it loses thermal value and gets abrasive.

A good backpacker store would sell good stuff.

The pre-redesigned V-strom brakes are horrible. They do not modulate well. Many riders (including me, when I had my 07 Wee) have opted for better calipers...
