Remus Roxx

Nobody? I'd also like to hear some feedback before I buy some.

They look pretty good, and are comparatively well priced.

I can absolutely vouch for Iran being one of the safest, most interesting, friendliest and most hospitable place to visit. I do regular trips all over the country (not on a bike unfortunately), and...

I've not tried the XD4 or the Hornet, so can't make a comparison. This one's a Uvex Enduro (http://www.fc-moto.de/Helmets/Uvex-Helmets/Uvex-Enduro). For the price, it's not bad, but the antifog...

From your description, I can confidently identify the beast as a yeti. Apparently, since the onset of Global Wetting, their numbers and their range have increased dramatically. Be assured that...

Question What's a bit of radiation between friends

I was wondering the same. I also wonder what the residual contamination levels are like in this area, which is regarded as the worst radioactive mess on the planet.

Where did you guys draw your...

Eh? Stop ignoring the rim design

This tool is for those who haven't noticed that every rim is carefully designed so that the bead on the one side can be dropped into the "well" while the other side is easily and quickly levered into...

As long as you remember that the Starcross is only M rated (130km/h or 81mph). :deal

New 1200GS

Not that I'd want to replace my 990 R with either bike, I think that in that class, the new BMW (1170) 1200GS would be my preference. And it isn't really any heavier than the KTM.

I doubt that one could draw a reasonable comparison. The 1190 Adv has a modified RC8 power plant in it. The cams and ECU in particular, are purpose designed/tuned, so I would expect the fuel...

I'm a very mellow and conservative rider. I had an 800GS, and I now have a 990R. I chose the R because I don't ride tar if I can help it, so I don't like ABS. Also, I flat-foot the R, so the non-R is...

Exactly! The way people go in this thread, you'd think that they expect this to be a replacement for the 990. It is not.

In case there are some that still haven't noticed, KTM manufacture a...

What new model?

KTM are not bringing out a replacement for the 990 Adv any time soon. As far as I can ascertain, the new monster that's on the way is an addition to the stable, and is designed to compete in the...

Cool2 One for the myths thread

For best results, I'd suggest a mixture comprising roughly 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and 1% argon. Don't worry about trace amounts of other gasses.

Also, for optimum performance and longevity, I...

990 vs F800

I've had both. The only thing that speaks in favour of the F800 over the 990, is fuel consumption.

Dirtbike shmirtbike

That's because it isn't intended to be a dirt bike. Who in their right minds would try to design a dirt-bike that is bigger and heavier than a 990? This bike will be a dirt tourer at best - along the...

Malawi is one of the friendliest and most laid-back places on the planet. Unfortunately also one of the poorest countries on the planet, but that doesn't get in the way of good humour.
