I have the factory hand guards and Lane split...the difference over the handlebar is negligible. If I am going to hit a side view mirror I sure as hell want the hand guard there....ouch.

There isn't one yet. Have to use f650/f800 and use the board or wing the rest. They aren't too terribly different but note the front suspension parts are actually from the G650 GS

You have to buy parts for the G650GS for any front suspension. I just bought Ricor's and since the fork part numbers match the G, especially the fork internals, I had to go with that.

You would think so but they are the same fork setup as the G650GS. Every part number is the same with the exception of the fork bridge I think.

the 2003 CS is the first non-sportbike that I rode before I bought my Dakar....they are untouchable for comfort on the road. They just inspire confidence and are just plain fun for urban terrain!
