You could put a pressure relief valve on the air...

You could put a pressure relief valve on the air shock so that as it gets hot it bleeds off pressure. Of course you will have to get off & start pumping if you let it cool down again.

Ive done it on car exhaust manifolds but that usually to keep as much heat out of the engine bay as possible...so somewhat pointless on a bike.

It does reduce the heat on the outside of the pipe...

Ive already got them on my 12GS & X challenge, they are sensational...much more of a difference on the 1200 to be honest, made it so much easier to shift with big MX boots on.
