I installed the Kaoko on my stock bars a few...

I installed the Kaoko on my stock bars a few years ago and there was no nut welding involve. Easy peasy, and it works well without any unsightly levers sticking out like some of the other options.

I have the stock seat on my 2010 Scrambler and just put a sheepskin on it for longer rides. I have rode 7 hours in a day without too much problem. I think the secret is to change your riding position...

Not sure if you can regard the Scrambler as a light bike. Probably lighter than the TBird though.

Centerstand? I have never felt the need to put one on. Just more weight and reduced ground...

I don't find the key switch location intolerable. I installed a clock on the stem nut ( http://www.clocks4bikes.com/stem2.html ) and find it very useful. It looks like it is a OEM part of the bike....

Lucky I spied this before I went for a ride...

Lucky I spied this before I went for a ride today. Pulled it out and sprayed the hole with soapy water. No bubbles so it only penetrated the tread block. I felt lucky. :D

I'm still looking forward to my first ride too. Icy ruts on my drive and the main road have to melt some more first. Bikes are ready to go, just have to put the batteries in. Any day now. :D
