I'd guess it will need fresh tires & tubes and a good fuel system cleaning at the least. Check the oil to see if it looks new, look at the chain and sprockets for wear, and check everything...

The 03 for $2500 sounds like a pretty good deal. If cared for, I'd say an Evo will probably outlast an Ironhead, mileage-wise, before things wear out. They dissipate heat better, and excessive heat...
