My 95 has 71k and is better than some new bikes I have owned.
Like you, I was nervous about a bike with high mileage. What I have discovered is high mileage on one of these has a different meaning....

I am the proud 3rd owner of a '95 R1100GS. I got it with 62k miles nearly all of which was done by the original owner.


I have only ridden it about 4000 miles...

Is your oil filler cap area oily?
The cap and especially the stock receptacle mist oil on long freeway rides after the bike gets up in mileage.

Easy to replace and not expensive.

I've done 300 mile days on my 2008 KLR and 2000 ZRX1100 with the stock seats with not too much soreness.
