modern shocks
Disagree on the durability of BMW shocks..12 BMW 1200 GS"s or GSA"s ..all with relatively low miles... on our trip from London to China 2 yrs ago..we had to replace 5 shocks on our 12000 mile...

look at some of the soft bags..Giant Loop etc much lighter..easy to use..also won't break your ankle..lower leg as easily when you tip over..much cheaper also..have used the GL on many trips around...

skiing in NZ
Have you skied there ?? The resort skiing there is not very good..not very big ski areas and the skiing is all above tree line so visibility is poor ..also lots of wind..now the heli skiing is great...

alternator upgrade
I want to upgrade the alternator on my 2010 F 650 GS..twin..from its 400 watt output to something in the 1200 GS range 700 watts..Anyone done it and how did you do it ?? bj

.you need the title in some instances of foreign travel and in most cases the lien holder has the title..You typically have to get permission from the lien holder and they will not allow it.it...
