I still haven't replaced or repaired the lamp unit, and considering the price of a new unit I'm looking to build a bezel on the lathe so I can just run a flat disc of glass in place of the factory...

The new shinko 700 works better than the old sahara so far -- only about 55 miles at this point and no high speed asphalt yet.
