BMW quit balancing the rear wheel from the factory a ways back. Did they quit doing the front too? New bike owners should return to the dealer and ask the wheel/s be balanced.

Normal for a wet multi plate clutch. When you disengage a wet clutch, you still have drag from the oil between the plates. Should have less drag when the oil is hot.

I'd bet it's the starer clutch, not the gears. We will never know because that motor is surely headed ASAP to Germany. And a special tool to do a engine swap? wonder what that's for.
