how much shorter would a 120 80 18 tire be than a 120 90 18?

I'm going to try some Kenda K761 tires on a bike build. My bike calls for front 100 90 18 and rear 120 90 18 tires. The Kenda is only available in 80 series profile in the width and wheel size.

It's not the fuel pump. Gotta be a gear drive to whine like that. I always assumed it was cam timing gear drive. My VFRs always had a similar whine,.....timing gears.
