I would consider picking up an older model of BMW...

I would consider picking up an older model of BMW airflow pants, used from an inmate, as a sole summer pant. You should be able to get a good deal. Even the older models are pretty great.

When wearing the roadcrafter, I take it off at the bike, roll and bungee it. You can then just clip on a shoulder strap and walk in normal clothes.

You may want to consider bringing an evaporative cooling vest, they are pretty cheap. You can just keep it wet in a ziplock and put it on underneath the comfort shell, if it starts to really heat up....
