Note Barkbusters don't recommend EGOs for the DR. The dealer fitted them tyo mine and I had the same issue. After a skid down the road I replaced them with VPS which have much better clearance....

The problem is not softness its the shape. I had the original rebuilt by comfy seats melb, then a Sargent seat, now a Corbin. they are very hard but the shape is great, much much better.

What pipe are you running. If using a Staintune and its not mounted correctly it can rub against the oil pipe and eventually create a leak. Happen to my bike and a mates.
