If you want to cut the cost down a bit just use an allweather type carpet and keep a dehumidifier down there running. Never have to worry about a carpet/pad getting ruined from any basement flooding...

I have had to change a few of the sight glasses before. Just pop out the old one. Put the new one in the freezer over night and push it in, once it expands it will be good to go.

If you have cracks, you need someone to fill them with a filler that should be heated up and then poured in. After that they can seal it.

Its right dead center in the middle of the rad its about a 1/2" x 1/2" area thats been pushed in flat, the leak seems very small though. It only leaks under pressure currently.

When I start my XR it seems to puff a bit of oil until it is totally warmed up. I bought it recently and it was supposedly on fresh rings and everything was measured to spec.
