I also have an Ram X-Grip. The X-Grip worked great on my Samsung Tab 8'' until I decided to go blasting down 40 miles of rough gravel roads.
The tab made it about a 1/2 mile before it was tossed....

I've been using Pledge for a long time also. I thought I would give Meguier's Motorcycle Plastic Cleaner/Polish a try. I wasted money on that one.. Pledge works better for my needs YMMV.

I had to destroy the filter to get it off.

I would definitely do the first service myself, then take the money you saved...

I'll give it a good test and see if it will start the 12 valve or my IH-444D:evil without any battery hooked up. I'm thinking it will fail miserably though.

These are inexpensive, but they will fit the Givi engine guard and give your feet a alternate place to reside. Better pegs are out there though....

Same issues I'm having with my NC700X. I think one would need a 4Y.O factory worker to get it to clip.
I'm confident I can make it work, but may need to remove the headlight assembly first.
