dorky and dorkier

Took the Novara grocery bag panniers off my bike and put it on my MadAss; I think they're cool, but that makes me a dork I guess.

... and it weighs less than me.

I've had it for a week, but it's a busy time here at work - I have just over 100 miles on it. It's breaking in nicely - find a dealer near you and take a test ride!

Needs some knobbies

I just picked this up - took it on some gravel, but nothing too rough until it's broken in more.

I'm hoping this will be a...

Minimalist Tourer to be?

Just picked this up today. I'm hoping to add panniers and some other upgrades to make this Sachs MadAss 125 into a touring machine.

No MA's in Charlotte, NC

Hi, MMA; still waiting for one to show up locally. I'm going to Atlanta for work this Thursday, and will take a look at one at a dealer there.

How do you like the short ass pipe? I'm worried about...

circumnavigating Australia

Thanks for the personal report, Vertical C. One of the things that sparked my interest in the MA125 was a report of a guy named Nick Healey who traded in his CT110 for a MA125 in 2007, rode 17,107 km...

only 27 years for me

All on motorcycles, starting with a 1977 CB 360T. Since that bike, I've had a number of different Hondas. I kept a 1985 CB 700SC until 2006, and then bought my first non-Honda (Enfield G5).

Sachs Mad Ass 125

Any of you minimalist tourers out there have the Sachs 125? The smallest bike I've ever had was a CB 360T, but now that I'm middle-aged, I'm attracted to the strangest bikes. I have an Enfield G5...

I vote go!

I don't know about Namibia, but I'd guess you could probably buy something cheap (and re-sell it later) with some local help. I started a project in Ghana in the summer of 2008, and this past summer...

subscribed - good luck with the trip (and the show)

Touring the entire planet? Go through Ghana, and let me know about the places I need to ride.
In India, visit the Royal Enfield factory in Chennai for me?

can you wear it on your arm?

Looks like a product that I needed before I bought a Garmin Nuvi 500. Can you use the velcro straps to instead strap in on your arm, in a relatively stable position?

want the zumo, but nuvi 500 will do

The nuvi 500 cost 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a zumo, and works well mounted on a bike.

I have one of the new G5's, and while I expected more downtime and maintenance, it's been an everyday bike with no problems. I'm at 3,000 miles now, and the bike seems to be improving (i.e., getting...

Thanks for the RR - keep it coming!

Subscribed. I think I need to take my Royal Enfield Bullet home to India, so that she can get back in touch with the land of her birth. I had hoped at some point to make the pilgrimage to Chennai to...
