There's your answer. I live nearby, it is not paved and could be rutted, icy and nasty in March. Not really good for 2 up on a VFR even on the best of days. Plenty of other options in the area.

That's Clingmans Dome off in the distance and Lake Fontana near the bottom right corner. The lake is being drawn down to winter levels already so there's a lot of shoreline exposed....
