Warn you were spot on, the short did in fact melt the plastic around the contacts and we put it...

Thanks .. I'll check the kill switch this morning, My concern was it wasn't getting power like the rest of the stuff so obviously it wouldn't work...

There was a short to ground on the coil...

I'm puttering around on a friends bike, he backed it out of the driveway after warming it up and it simply died,

The Lights are on but the Neutral, oil pressure and whatever else comes on with...

Oil leak question

Front cover oil leak??? Thing is seeping like a sieve... Hmmm maybe Leak was the right term.... doesn't use a lot of oil... but seems to wear most of it.

I'm trying to sort out a way I can do this quickly.. without a lot of pain and fuss.

Seems like raising the sidecar 2" would help in getting the wheel off the ground and raising the bike the same...

I ended up ordering one of Jay's subframes. I rebuild motorcycles for fun and profit... so this will likely end up as a customer bike down the road. it's much easier to do this right up front...

I have a CB500T which is the last version of the 450... Very good motorcycle and genuinely the "right" size bike... it does everything fairly well.
