Overpriced?
Looks like a decent conservative cruiser in niche of HD Sportster. Over $13k seems like too much cash for a parts bin special, though. Most other MG models all seem reasonably priced for what they...

Here is another review. Again the suspension is lauded despite the short travel..... "light, accurate handling and generally unflappable chassis"
They ding the bags for difficulties with the...

Sure you don't want to keep the 2nd as a parts bike for the inevitable FD failure? :evil
Seriously, besides cosmetic and storage differences, how do "P" bikes differ from the civilian version? Do...

Dead weight?
I like the wheels. I think the fat fender is for aerodynamics, rather than protection. For better lap-times, you know.

+1! I do the same using the rafters in the garage. Depending on bike, I try to attach to the lower triple tree instead of the bars. If the fairing is removed you can hook the ratchet strap into the...

Versys
I'll advocate for a Versys though I have never owned, nor ridden one. I did own a B1200 for a couple years.
-liquid cooled and fuel injected are plusses in my book
-lighter
-better fuel economy...

XL Roadster or Honda Shadow RS
I'd think a 2004-2009 rubber mount Sportster would fit the bill. Any sportster 2004 and newer will have a rubber mount engine, and while they shake at idle they smooth out really nicely on the road....

I've been eyeing the Guzzi Cali Vintage and Switchback looks like a nice alternative for a classic styled solo-tourer just short of a full-blown barge. Bags, shield, neutral riding position, low/easy...

mixed feelings
I picked up a Nuvi 500 refurb for $150.00 recently on fleabay. Using it with a RAM cradle and handlebar mount kit (RAM-B-149Z-GA28U) and a hardwire kit on my KLR. For the money, it is a decent little...
