Since I do not have to many Amal main jets left , on the new bikes I resorted to drilling a small hole on the bottom of the ignition cover. Seems to stay dry in there.

I think in multi visc oils the closer the numbers are the less chance of "shear" there is. 75-90 would be less susceptible to shearing than 75-140.
