Assuming Honda is a creature of habit, which is a pretty good assumption, it's probably the same as an XL and your old XL250 was 30-45-60 or would translate to 60-90-120 if you count both sides off...

Well cam journels can be fixed with a needle bearing cam from megacycle, xlintperformance will do it for you, low compression is proably a valve job, maybe seats and guides, xlint will do that too....

Guess they just look odd because they seem to be tilted too far back. Also the dual cable round slides have the pivot point behind the slide and not in front of it.

Correctly wired, the headlight shouldn't work unless the bike is running. The headlight is unswitched with the key, only the DC (open when off) and ignition (closed to ground when off) are switched....

Headlight on these bikes is AC and has nothing to do with the battery. On the early 250s/350s you have 3 coils in the stator.

One powers the ignition it's basically one black (white stripe) wire...
