Imo, blue book has little to no bearing on private party motorcycle prices. Take a pristine '05-'07ktm 450 or 525, 640 ADV, Husky 610, etc. Those bikes are in demand and good examples bring a premium.

X2...there are plenty of quality AM and downhill bikes that will handle your friends size & weight. Most likely, the frame isn't going to be the issue anyway, it will be the wheels, cranks, etc.
