Great eldon,
my mpression is that bars are definitely more resistant in abrasion (bike sliding on asphalt for several meters) but probably if the bike flips over of road and impacts on a stone then...

LEDs have different resistance from normal incandescence bulbs, they need different relay or you can add a resistance in the circuit so the old relay thinks that a normal bulb is still in.

I had a similar problem, my battery discharged in few days, in my case it turned out that was a faulty starting relay. After i changed that everything came back to normality
