In fact I have just set mine to 1 turn MINUS 2 ticks, instead of the + 2 ticks, trying to get rid of that winding up a rubber...

Don't blip the throttle, rev it up to the 5k and hold it constant. Also are you putting too much or too little pressure on the lever with your hand? It can be hard to tell.

If that is what I think it is, its a baffle to prevent fuel starvation to the jets when the fuel is sloshed around in the bowl. Ride it and see if its an issue, it may not noticeable.

Nice work mate. I rebuilt one of these engines recently due to wear on 2nd gear engagement dogs. I actually have a good output shaft here you could of had if I had seen this thread!

Valves wear, with or without dust. Once that coating has worn through the valves will close up in just a few hours of run time.

All good, changed the fuse and now it works....
