Too tight zip tie

There is a zip tie holding the wire bundle from the ignition switch that is too tight on early R1200GS. It can fracture some of the wires internally, or even cut through completely inside the housing...

When I go camping and riding with my wife, we have a truck, a camper, a trailer, and 2 motorcycles. That is 5 license plates and 3 Discovery passes. This is a bullshit fee.

It looks to be a bit moist at the campground, but not to worry- just a few miles up the road it is dumping snow and chains required past Longmire. Get those 6" chunks of chains and a bag of zip ties...

Sometimes you need to take the brake line mount off the frame below the triple clamp too. It'll hang free and give a little more stretch room. Jack the bike up higher, it'll fit!
