Why haven't you wrapped it yet? You will love it, and if you wrap it back past the shock, the shock will love it too. I think exhuast wrap does more for shock heating than going to a cr500 shock.

I have heard of horrible gas miliage from the FI thumpers; Yamaha 450 gets about 15 MPG according to folks I talk to at a recent race.
