Another solution is to buy a headset dualpack.Program both main units the same,then use up battery on one and then swap.The second unit can be charging via USB in tankbag.
This works especially well...

I use RokStraps:thumb for majority of my trips,but have heard that if you anticipate in a lot of rough off road,the solid lashing straps may be better,as they dont allow the load to bounce or flex....
