I averaged about 40 mpg on mine. I put 74,000 miles before trading it in. A new driveshaft was needed at the 40,000 mile mark -- the rear U-joint went out. Loved the bike, but never found a luggage...

Tourances worked well in the North"wet"

Splashing around the backroads of Puget Sound, the Tourances were my choice and never gave me a surprise. Also got 13.8K out of the rear tire at 42psi (250 lb rider) which was better than what I used...
