Harcus might have made some changes to the subframe design since the Baja trip. However, Stevevh's subframe looks similar to mine, but I have additional bracing near the top mounts.

So, you didn't have trouble fitting the exhaust?
The '74 TS400 has a double downtube frame, and from the images, I thought that side exhaust port would be obstructed...

This project is a result of my fascination for two strokes. Having owned a bunch of 4-strokes, and never having owned a two-stroke, I decided to go ahead and purchase a 1974 TS400 with a bent frame....
