Nope that's not right. It will run just OK. Riding below 0 Celsius in 6th my XC does go to 4 or even 2 bars and never seem to cough. Tested.

It is not clutch-less, it is Double Clutch (thou electronically controlled) on one and probably will be conventional clutch on other variant.
