The early R1150gs bikes had non-servo ABS brakes. Maybe a system from the GS bikes could be used to give a non-servo ABS system.

My 02 R1150RT was showing some reluctance to start. I put new Autolite plugs in it and it started much more easily. The surging subsided a bunch as well.
