Theres a valve in the oil pump that stops the oil from flowing back into the engine from the oil tank, might be time to replace yours.

Br careful. Essential engine parts like pistons and camshafts are NLA from Honda. You can get new Wiseco pistons for the XR350, but will have to fit an XR350 rod as well.

If everything else is with in spec, I'm betting CDI. Especially with an intermittent spark.
Try tapping the back of the CDI and see if spark returns for a while. If it does, you've got dry soldered...
