I normally shoot a Nikon D4s and D800e, but for bike rides I got a Panasonic Lumix GH3 and 100-300, 14-35 and 7-14 lenses. The whole kit fits in my tankbag and it takes great pictures.

I have the MOD rack...

I have the MOD rack (http://motooverland.com/index_files/Page508.htm) on my '13 F800GS and it works great with the OEM aluminum boxes and mounts. Not sure about fitment on a '14 model, though.

I like the stock screen for desert rides on my F800GS and tried the TT tall screen but didn't like it for the road. Ended up with a Cee Bailey tall, which comes with the BMW bracket, and like it fine...

I've not had any problems with my OEM guards bending, but the plastics get scuffed up. Just replaced the BMW plastics with Wunderlich.

Mine is switched. When I stop if I want it left on I just press the screen on the GPS when it asks me if I want to leave it on. Much simpler than forgetting to turn it off, at least for me.

The switch turns the aux lights on and off, and the setting will stay during key off/on. The lights stay on when the brights are on as well, and when the aux lights are on there is a 'light' symbol...

Agreed, and if your main goal is to ride at highway speeds a dual sport helmet isn't the best choice by far. For me the highway is a necessary evil to get to places I like to ride. :D

Easier just to remove the visor. It is quieter that way, but I like the visor and am usually on the highway just to get somewhere to ride offroad. So far the Cee Bailey does the trick for me.
