They are shorter. Changes were made in the controls on the 1150 that required more length. Not much (less than 1/4" per side), but enough to screw things up.

I'll second that!! If you want to cut some serious fire wood (up to 10" logs) this bucksaw is the answer. I've had the 24" one for years. Very strong, lite and packs in it's tubular aluminum handle....

I've torqued them successfully after "snugging" them first. Still requires some feel to tighten them to a pre-torque level that won't throw your settings off when final adjustment is made.
