The only time I use a track, is when the Zumo saves it in that native format, and I convert it to a turn-by-turrn route, within the unit.

I also use the tracks to sometimes extract for nothing...

Zumo 550 Cradle question

I just picked up a used 550 from Craigs List today, hot deal.

The problem is, it came with a car cradle, and removable cig lighter cord....that's it...a pricey option, but not one I need most.

My tracks download from mine no matter how large, several thousand is not uncommon.

Maybe you have the setting set to 500 on your actual unit, which is my guess.....mine's set at 10,000.

This is the best route planner I have found, free, online, fast, effective.

Pick a starting position, and then add waypoints, which are transferred to the device as Garmin "via points"....love it!...
