I run Sunoco Purple, and non-ethanol pump gas 50/50 in a GasGas 280.

I don't think non-ethanol is necessary, but I buy it for other stuff and just use it to be on the safe side.

My guess is the carburetor needs to be cleaned. If you're the least bit mechanically inclined you can easily remove the carb and clean it. Just be careful not to lose anything, and put it back...
