It's been so long since I've had to make that adjustment myself. But if I remember correctly, You have to remove the plastic on the handle bar controls, and the adjustment bolt should be under there....

I think the route basically consists of fire roads and what appear to be pretty easy dirt trails with some river crossings. Sand/Mud will likely be the biggest issues, apart from the Lockhart Basin....

I have to Agree. the Heidenau K60s are awesome. They did extremely well for me off-road and even with all the time I spent with then on the pavement they ended up lasting me a surprisingly long time....

Yes, But a switch is pretty easy to rig up. The nice thing about the 1150 GS is that they left plenty of room under the handlebar control panels to add extra switches.
