Never been to New Orleans but my take is...better scenery on 65 but faster on 55. Once you get in Arkansas, a lot of 65 is two lanes and goes through a lot of small towns.

I don't think many states have this requirment but make sure the transfer...

I grew up in the Fort Leonard Wood/Cuba area and know it well. If I only had one day to ride, I would ride due south from Cuba. In my opinion, it's just a better area to ride.
