I experienced the exact same improvement with the same windshield. The Ztechnik VStream touring windshield made a big difference on my 14 GSA LC.

Read your owners manual. You can adjust your gear shift lever at the toe lift part. Loosen the set screw and rotate it with your fingers it is eccentric and will raise as you rotate it.
