BTW, the rear WP shock is very nice. Threaded coilover style with remote piggyback reservoir and adjustable preload, compression and rebound.

BMW Sports Suspension for airhead GS
Well, in spite of all the aftermarket options, I decided to keep things as "factory" as possible and went with the BMW sports suspension (made by WP).
I'm glad I did because I'm very pleased...
